Brendan Sailing Program Received Award of $25,000

The Brendan Sailing Program (BSP) has received a generous award of amount $25,000. It is a new grant that BSP has received from two local organizations of the same area: The (BCF) Brick Companies Foundation and The Kathryn and Jerry Wood Foundation (KAJWF).

This grant has made Brendan Sailing Program more empowered and with the help of this grand, BSP will continue its goal that is building pathways for personal growth and self-confidence in children with different learning abilities through independently customized experiential teaching in sailing. The organization will use this fund for awarding added scholarships for (BSP) three primary programs that are in Annapolis, in Washington DC and St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Charlie Arms, the Executive Director of BSP upon receiving this fund said, “We are extremely happy to receive this award from those foundations who valued our efforts to teach life skills and build self-confidence in youth having learning differences with the help of sailing. We are proud that because of our efforts, we never let any children turn away from the studies because of financial reasons. We thanks the generosity of two of our supporters we can provide scholarships for youth all through the region.”

For the summer programs of Brendan Sailing, the registrations are open now. This program after-school is taking place at DC Sail going to run on Tuesdays & Thursdays. The timing for the same is from 4:00pm – 6:00 pm and it will commence on 23rd of and will conclude on 6th of June. The sessions of Annapolis Day Camp (ADC) will take place in June between 17-28 and July 1-12. There will be fun camp activities and this will include sailing, swimming, beach exploration, friendships, STEM program of watershed & US Sailing are all part of Annapolis camp. It will run from Monday to Friday between 9:00am – 4:00 pm.
